Global Culture Network (GCN) is a developing multimedia initiative promoting language preservation, cultural diversity, education, and cross-cultural understanding through short films, music, and digital storytelling. Content Creation Intern

Help GCN tell meaningful stories about languages, cultures, education, heritage, and everyday life. You will contribute ideas and develop engaging content for our multilingual film and digital storytelling initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Develop creative ideas for short films, cultural stories, educational content, and social media posts.
Research languages, traditions, cultural heritage, and community stories.
Help prepare scripts, story outlines, captions, and content calendars.
Collaborate with translators, filmmakers, and other GCN volunteers.
Support the promotion of underrepresented languages and cultures through digital storytelling.

Qualifications

A genuine interest in storytelling, culture, education, or digital media.
Good writing, communication, and research skills.
Creativity, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively with people from different backgrounds.
Previous content creation experience is helpful but not required.

Video Editing Intern

Support the production of GCN's short multilingual films and cultural videos. Help turn raw footage into clear, engaging stories that audiences can enjoy and learn from.

Key Responsibilities

Edit short videos, interviews, cultural features, and educational films.
Arrange footage, audio, titles, captions, and transitions.
Work with content creators and directors to communicate each story effectively.
Help prepare videos for online publication and social media.
Organize project files and respond constructively to editing feedback.

Qualifications

An interest in video editing, filmmaking, or digital storytelling.
Familiarity with an editing tool such as CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or a similar application.
Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to communicate and meet agreed deadlines.
A portfolio is welcome but not compulsory.

Digital Communications Intern

Help GCN share its mission with audiences around the world through digital communication, social media, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Help prepare social media content and communication materials.
Support the promotion of GCN films, music, language resources, and cultural stories.
Assist with content scheduling and online community engagement.
Research relevant audiences, campaigns, and partnership opportunities.
Contribute ideas to improve the visibility of GCN's work.

Qualifications

An interest in communications, public relations, marketing, or media.
Good written communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms.
Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
Previous experience is helpful but not required.

Language and Translation Intern

Help make GCN's stories accessible across languages by supporting translation, subtitles, language research, and culturally appropriate communication.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with translating short scripts, captions, subtitles, and descriptions.
Review translated content for clarity and consistency.
Research language names, origins, usage, and cultural context.
Work with speakers and contributors to respect local expressions and meanings.
Help promote languages that receive limited digital representation.

Qualifications

Strong ability in at least two languages, including the ability to translate between them.
Good attention to detail and respect for cultural differences.
Interest in language preservation and cross-cultural communication.
Ability to receive feedback and work collaboratively.
Experience with subtitles or translation tools is an advantage.

Contribute to GCN's audio storytelling by helping prepare sound, music, and recordings that reflect the diversity of languages and cultural traditions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with audio editing and preparation for short films and digital content.
Help organize voice recordings, sound effects, and music assets.
Research traditional and contemporary musical influences with respect for their cultural context.
Collaborate with video editors and content creators to improve audio quality.
Help maintain organized project files and production notes.

Qualifications

An interest in music, sound, recording, or audio production.
Familiarity with an audio editing tool or digital audio workstation is helpful.
Care with audio quality, file organization, and deadlines.
Respect for cultural traditions and creative contributions.
A portfolio or previous production experience is welcome but not required.
